Service Desk Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Desk Engineer to join our IT team at Birketts. As a key member of our 1st Line Team, you will be responsible for providing first-class support to internal users, acting as their first point of contact.
Key Responsibilities- Provide timely and effective support to users, resolving issues efficiently and escalating as necessary.
- Accurately document and track support requests, ensuring data integrity and quality.
- Communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner, breaking down technical jargon for non-technical users.
- Collaborate with peers and the 2nd Line Team to ensure seamless support and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to the overall success of the IT Team, participating in continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
- Previous experience working in an IT Service Desk environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Technologies, including Active Directory, Office 2016, 2019, and O365.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with users at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
