Fire Safety Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Fire Safety Advisor to join our Health and Safety Team at the University of the West of England. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our students, staff, and visitors across our three campuses.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement fire safety management systems to ensure compliance with fire legislation and University policies.
- Conduct fire risk assessments and provide advice and support to staff and students.
- Collaborate with the Estates Team to ensure fire safety is integrated into new building projects and alterations.
- Develop and deliver fire safety training programs for staff and students.
- Conduct fire safety audits and provide recommendations for improvement.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced fire safety professional who is able to engage and influence at all levels. You will have a comprehensive knowledge of fire safety and risk assessment, and be able to work collaboratively with our teams to ensure the safety of our community.
Ideally, you will have an IQ Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety or other equivalent level 4 fire safety qualification, and be a graduate member of the IFE or other relevant professional body.
