Fire Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced fire safety professional to join our Health and Safety Team at the University of the West of England. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our students, staff, and visitors across our three campuses.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement fire safety management systems to ensure compliance with legislation and University policies.
- Conduct fire risk assessments and provide advice and support to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain fire safety records and reports, including fire risk assessments and audit findings.
- Collaborate with the Estates Team to ensure fire safety is integrated into building design and maintenance.
- Develop and deliver fire safety training programs for staff and students.
We are looking for a well-rounded and highly motivated individual with a strong background in fire safety and risk assessment. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
Essential qualifications include an IQ Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety or equivalent, and membership of a relevant professional body such as the Institute of Fire Engineers.
