Job Title: Brand/Category Retail Account Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Brand/Category Retail Account Manager to join our team at Zero Surplus. As a key member of our category and insight recruitment specialist team, you will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to drive sales and growth in the retail sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement sales strategies to increase distribution and listings of our core range and new products in retail stores.
  2. Analyse and interpret data from various sources, including Nielsen, Kantar, and GfK, to identify key insights and trends that inform sales and marketing decisions.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, including category management, operations, and buying, to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  4. Present compelling stories and insights to retailers to drive sales and growth, and develop and maintain a deep understanding of the retail landscape and customer needs.
  5. Develop and maintain reporting capabilities to track key performance indicators, including EPOS performance, distribution, rate of sale, competitor activity, and price/promotional analysis.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in category management or retail commercial management, with a strong understanding of the FMCG, General Merchandise, or Retail sectors.
  2. Advanced Excel skills, with intermediate to advanced PowerPoint skills also beneficial.
  3. Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to recognise performance indicators and present findings with action recommendations.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
