Quality Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team at a precision engineering business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's quality systems and ensuring compliance with relevant national and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management and maintenance of quality systems and compliance with relevant standards
  • Upkeep of all QA records and documentation
  • Conducting and documenting internal audits of the quality system
  • Organizing and ensuring readiness for customer audits
  • Monitoring and auditing suppliers
  • Creation and maintenance of quality performance KPIs
  • Creation and maintenance of supplier performance KPIs
  • Management and maintenance of works instructions
  • Creation and maintenance of quality plans
  • Compiling and creating First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
  • Representing the company and customer-facing with respect to quality matters
  • Defining processes and procedures in conjunction with section leaders
  • Identifying and promoting areas for continuous improvement
  • Ensuring that the company's quality activities meet with the customer's expectations
  • Reporting to senior management meetings on quality matters

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a highly regulated environment, such as aerospace, automotive, or pharma. This is a permanent role with a salary in the region of £50k (dependent on experience), 25 hols + bank holidays, 4 times life assurance, and pension.
