We are seeking a dedicated Project Site Supervisor to oversee a significant Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) initiative.


Your role will involve vigilant monitoring of Health & Safety protocols on-site, reporting any findings to the Principal Contractor, and providing feedback to the Package Manager through Safety Observation Reports and Near Miss Reports.


You will be responsible for instructing contractors and site personnel to halt operations in cases of serious Health & Safety violations or when personnel are at risk.


Conduct regular Health & Safety audits and engage with the Principal Contractor to discuss findings and ensure timely resolution of any identified issues.


It is essential to adhere to the Company’s Accident and Incident Reporting Procedure, ensuring compliance from all contractors and site personnel.


Review and provide feedback on all Contractors' Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Lift Plans.


Assist the Health & Safety Department in analyzing accidents, incidents, and Safety Observation Reports.


Review the final handover documentation provided by Contractors, including as-built drawings and test results, and offer necessary comments.


Maintain a Complaints Log and collaborate with Package Managers and Project Managers to determine appropriate actions for resolution.


Produce and maintain commercial records, documenting agreed quantities for re-measurable work and facts regarding events that may lead to claims between Contractors and the Employer throughout the project.


Develop an 'As-built' Programme to reference throughout the project and upon completion.


Assist the Package Manager and Commercial Manager in reviewing and approving Contractors' payment applications.


Engage in site management duties, including regular communication with Principal Contractor staff and site management to discuss ongoing works.


Organize and document weekly site coordination meetings to address Health & Safety, interfaces, access, and quality concerns.


Manage interactions with landowners, host sites, third parties, and the community.


Provide general supervision of all site activities.


Facilitate and lead detailed coordination workshops with Contractors to ensure works are planned and executed with minimal risk to the schedule and safety.


Document and distribute the conclusions and plans from these workshops among contractors to ensure clarity and agreement.


Liaise with Archaeological and Environmental Clerks of Works to agree on attendance dates as necessary, ensuring cooperation with the Principal Contractor and reviewing RAMS documents.


Monitor the progress of the EPC Contractor to ensure that works are coordinated with other contractors and completed in accordance with the project schedule.


Provide full-time site supervision for general project oversight and collaboration.


The site supervisor will be present on-site Monday to Friday, with weekend work as agreed with the company.


Quality Inspections and Control:
Review and comment on Contractors' site safety policies, plans, RAMS, and compliance with quality and environmental procedures.


Supervise major concrete pours and conduct pre- and post-pour inspections. Oversee cable installation, drainage, and substation construction activities.


Ensure compliance with project consents and contractual requirements during the setting-out of electrical works, in conjunction with the Client's Electrical Engineer.


Assist with all necessary site inspections and include findings in weekly reports to the Client.
