Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team. As a Technical Writer, you will play a critical role in creating high-quality technical content that supports our product teams and drives business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Author standalone and complex content, including user manuals, guides, and knowledge base articles.
- Support product teams by liaising with engineering staff to develop accurate and clear product content.
- Coordinate large documentation projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines to produce high-quality content, adhering to brand standards and style guides.
- Develop and maintain technical content in various formats, including PDF, HTML, and online documentation.
- Continuously seek improvement in the structure and delivery of technical content, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure content aligns with business objectives.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, providing regular updates on project status and progress.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a writing or technical discipline (or bachelor's degree with relevant experience).
- Minimum of two years' experience in writing and editing technical content.
- Good understanding of document and revision control.
- Proficiency in sophisticated authoring tools, such as Microsoft Word, Oxygen, MadCap Flare, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to create technical illustrations using standard tools, such as Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Visio.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge in the Security physical access control domain.
- Experience with Machine Translation technologies.
