Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and knowledgeable individual to become a part of our Medical Examiner office.
In this role, you will collaborate effectively to enhance our services, including the processes of death certifications and referrals to the Coroner's office.
You will provide guidance to bereaved families and other stakeholders, including healthcare professionals involved in patient care, HM Coroner's Office, registrars, and bereavement advisors.

Key Responsibilities
To maintain open and effective communication channels with all departments and wards, acting as a liaison between bereaved families and medical staff to address and escalate any concerns regarding a patient's death. To ascertain the circumstances surrounding individual patient deaths by conducting preliminary reviews of medical records to gather clinical and circumstantial information, obtaining additional details as necessary for the Medical Examiner's review. To engage with the relatives of the deceased regarding the medical certificate of cause of death (MCCD), ensuring the collection of additional information, which may involve conveying sensitive information and explaining disease pathology and medical treatments. To assist the Lead Medical Examiner/Officer in the design and delivery of specific workshops and training related to the Medical Examiner's service. To seek regular clinical supervision and participate in an ongoing appraisal process, monitoring personal performance in care provision and ensuring adherence to professional standards at all times.About Us
