About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Custody Paramedic to join our team at HCRG Care Group. As a Custody Paramedic, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals detained by the police or other agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to determine the fitness of detainees for detention, interview, release, or transfer.
  • Provide healthcare interventions to manage minor illnesses or injuries, and refer individuals to appropriate services for more serious conditions.
  • Undertake forensic examinations of individuals in police care, including recording and documenting injuries and collecting DNA evidence.
  • Support the clinical governance agenda of the organization by maintaining accurate and complete clinical records.
  • Administer medications through patient group directions (PGDs) and patient treatment protocols (PTPs).
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a relevant healthcare role.
  • Confident and able to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage own workload.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
