About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust. As a Community Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Urgent Care services.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide advanced telephone triage skills and make clinical decisions to ensure patients receive appropriate care pathways.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver clinical supervision and mentorship to peers.
- Contribute to the development of Urgent Care services, care pathways, and clinical triage systems.
Requirements
- Member of the Health Professions Council (HPC) or member of the Nursing & Midwifery Council (UK)
- Registered Paramedic or General Mental Health Nurse
- Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience
- Excellent knowledge of Pre-hospital Care Provision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good organisational skills
- Evidence of CPD
- Ability to effectively work as a team
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary boundaries
