Job Title: Medical Staffing and Insourcing Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Staffing and Insourcing Team Leader to join our Radiology department at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing operational support for the medical workforce, working closely with the Clinical Director, training scheme leads, and Service Manager to develop and implement new processes and procedures for rota management, recruitment, and insourcing.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Rota Management: Develop and implement effective rota management systems to ensure optimal staffing levels and minimize gaps in service.
  • Recruitment: Source and recruit high-quality medical staff to meet the needs of the department, ensuring compliance with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Locums/Temporary Staffing: Manage the recruitment and deployment of locum and temporary staff to ensure adequate staffing levels during periods of high demand.
  • Deanery rotations: Coordinate and manage the rotation of medical staff through the Deanery, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to services.
  • Honorary and Observer Contracts: Manage the administration of honorary and observer contracts, ensuring compliance with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Insourcing: Develop and implement strategies to insource medical staff, reducing reliance on agency staff and improving quality of care.
  • Staff Activity Management: Manage the activity of medical staff, ensuring optimal use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Other Management: Provide general management support to the department, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
Requirements:
  • Educated to GCSE level with experience in administration.
  • A willingness to undertake further training and development.
Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to contribute to team working and develop good working relationships.
  • Care and attention to detail and accuracy.
