Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physiotherapist to join our team as a Specialist MSK Physiotherapist (Rotational) in Surrey Downs Health and Care.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and experience working in a rotational capacity. They will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to patients across a range of outpatient settings, including GP clinics, outpatient departments, and community hospitals.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. They will also have a strong commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality physiotherapy services to patients across a range of outpatient settings.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized physiotherapy treatment plans based on a sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options.
  • Manage clinical risk within own patient caseload and seek guidance from senior colleagues as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies within the physiotherapy department.
  • Participate in data collection and clinical audit within the physiotherapy department or as part of the multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
  • Degree in physiotherapy.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) including attendance at relevant postgraduate training.
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
  • NHS (or equivalent) experience as a band 5 in a broad range of rotational posts.
  • Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy and/or multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience of supervision of physiotherapy assistants or students.
Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will be required to work across a range of outpatient settings, including GP clinics, outpatient departments, and community hospitals. They will also be required to participate in the band 6 rotational schedule, which involves working across Surrey Downs in a range of outpatient settings.

The post holder will be required to observe local Health and Safety arrangements and take reasonable care of themselves and others affected by their work.

The post holder will also be required to adhere to all policies and procedures of the physiotherapy department of Surrey Downs Health and Care.
