Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Lung Cancer Nurse Specialist team at North Bristol NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will work as part of our multi-disciplinary team to deliver specialist information, advice, and support to patients and their families.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisation and communication skills, with a strong knowledge and experience of lung cancer.

The team undertakes nurse-led clinics, including a nurse-led thoracic surgical follow-up clinic, which is a model being adopted throughout lung cancer nursing teams in the South West.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality specialist information, advice, and support to patients and their families.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide individualised compassionate care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Appropriate UK professional registration.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of lung cancer.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
