Quantity Surveyor Job Description

AA Euro Group is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Inverurie, working on power and renewables projects.

Role Purpose

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing subcontractor accounts, interim valuations, and final accounts, ensuring payment certificates are processed and payments are made per the agreed sub-contract and procurement terms.

  • Administer contract obligations and meet additional client requirements, issuing interim and final accounts and progress applications per project and contract requirements.
  • Identify potential commercial risks and report them promptly to Senior Management.
  • Have a practical understanding of scheduling and its associated commercial implications.
  • Cost and agree daily work changes, including managing subcontractor remeasurement of contract works, site dayworks, and site change orders.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide detailed backup to support commercial tracking and costing.
  • Set an example of enthusiasm, loyalty, and hard work in the performance of all duties.
  • Proactively and vigilantly keep information secure and comply with the company's Information Security Management System (ISMS).
Necessary Requirements
  1. A 3rd-level qualification in Construction Economics / Quantity Surveying, ideally coupled with a technical background.
  2. Proficiency in Excel.
Desired Competencies
  1. Understand contract obligations and any other undertakings to the client and the structure and form of interim and final claims.
  2. Ensure claims are formulated in line with these constraints.
  3. Ensure claims issued are comprehensive, including all work undertaken under the appropriate categorization.
