About the Facility
This facility is equipped with 60 beds, providing a variety of secure mental health services tailored for both men and women, including an acute female service and a female Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

Service Details
This role is situated in a specialized ward, offering an 18-bed male Low Secure service. The environment is designed to ensure safety and security for men with diverse needs and care pathways. The unit collaborates within a regional Adult Secure Provider Collaborative, while also accommodating patients from other areas.

Your Role
In this capacity, your expertise will be pivotal in delivering transformative treatment, supported by a dedicated full-time Specialty Doctor and a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.

Additionally, there is an opportunity to consider the position of Deputy Medical Director at this site, which could lead to advancement to Medical Director level through our management development programs.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must be:
  • Fully GMC Registered on the Specialist Register for Forensic Psychiatry or General Adult Psychiatry, with MBBS (or equivalent) qualifications
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in Forensic or General Adult Psychiatry
  • Familiar with current issues in Forensic or General Adult Psychiatry, as well as the Mental Health Act and related codes
  • An effective communicator capable of interviewing, assessing, and treating patients, with the ability to produce clear and comprehensive medical documentation
  • Committed to ongoing professional development and participation in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
