About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dietitian to join our team at Thornford Park, a combination of medium secure and low secure units and rehabilitation flats. As a Specialist Dietitian, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing personalized assessment and treatment programmes for males with mental illness/complex care needs, as well as those with personality disorder.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the dietetic service across the hospital, working closely with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping patients make informed healthier choices and achieve their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing dietetic clinical services on an individual and group basis
  • Completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and establishing effective communication with patients and their carers
  • Implementing and developing evidence-based therapeutic activities to aid patient mental health recovery
  • Providing training and education to patients and healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Dietetics
  • HCPC Registration
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Act 1983 & CPA
  • Experience of working in a similar setting
