Job Title: Specialist Dietitian

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Dietitian to join our team at Thornford Park, a combination of medium secure and low secure units and rehabilitation flats. As a Specialist Dietitian, you will play a vital role in providing dietetic clinical services to patients with mental illness and complex care needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized dietetic care plans to support patients in their recovery and rehabilitation.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions to promote optimal nutrition and health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide personalized assessment and treatment programs for patients with mental illness and complex care needs.
  • Provide training and education to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals to promote healthy eating habits and nutrition knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including care notes and written reports, in accordance with hospital and professional standards.
  • Establish effective communication with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Dietetics.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Act 1983 and CPA.
  • Experience of working in a similar setting.
