Job Summary

This role is part of the International Student Advice and Compliance Team within Student Support Services at City, University of London. The team has responsibility for managing the institution's corporate compliance responsibilities to the Home Office for Student visas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that City is fully compliant with UKVI sponsorship duties in regards to international students.
  • Be the first point of contact for admissions staff preparing Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) and ensure that all CASs are assigned correctly and within agreed deadlines.
  • Register international students, monitor attendance and engagement, respond to student inquiries, and support other areas of the University to protect our UKVI sponsorship status.
Person Specification

We are looking for a diligent and efficient individual to join a dynamic and busy team. A high level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail is essential, as well as knowledge of UKVI Point Based System rules and regulations on Student Visas.

The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people and explain processes and legislation to others. A demonstrable understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion, and professional conduct, and their practical application within a student support environment is essential.
