Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our team at British Sugar PLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving performance improvement across the organization, leveraging Lean 6 Sigma methodologies to achieve significant cost savings and process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and manage the sites cost saving programme, targeting annual savings of £1.1M.
  • Drive the effectiveness of our tiered Key Performance Indicator review process and promote the use of structured problem-solving tools.
  • Support the site team in the application of Lean methodology, providing theoretical and practical training on standard work, workplace organization, and Lean wastes.
  • Deliver Yellow Belt training and coach learners to the completion of Yellow Belt projects.
  • Lead business critical DMAIC projects of Lean 6 Sigma Green and Black Belt Standard.
  • Work closely with the site leadership team to ensure collaborative working towards shared objectives and must-win battle initiatives.
  • Support the site to close gaps in key performance metrics where required.
  • Inspire and influence the wider site team in all aspects of the CI process, acting as the site's SME and champion of Lean and 6 Sigma.

Requirements:

  • Autonomous working with the ability to manage your own workload to meet annual objectives.
  • Drive to action with tenacity, passion, and determination.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management awareness.
  • Literate in MS suite of applications with Power BI and Power Apps development desirable.

Location: Wissington, Norfolk

Salary: £30,000 to £55,000 (Depending on experience)
