About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Foreman to join our team in the Environment Business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects within our Severn Trent Water Frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are executed safely, within programme, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate resources effectively, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Ensure temporary and permanent works are delivered in accordance with design specifications.
  • Plan and manage material and plant requirements to meet programme and financial targets.
  • Collaborate with site engineering teams to plan and programme projects.
  • Liaise with site teams and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and minute briefings to ensure subcontractors are aware of safety procedures and protocols.
  • Monitor and record site diaries to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in construction management, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct site teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings, with a strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
  • Relevant technical qualifications, such as SMSTS and CSCS cards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software packages.
