Property and Development Director

Bassetlaw District Council is a forward-thinking organization that owns and manages a significant portfolio of homes in North Nottinghamshire. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Property and Development Director to join our Housing Management Team and contribute to our ambitious goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective housing asset management and investment strategies
  • Lead the delivery of capital investment projects and planned maintenance programs
  • Oversee the development of new housing projects within the district
  • Manage contracts and associated procedures, as well as budget and financial management
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation impacting building standards

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience in housing and asset management at a senior level
  • Proven track record in contract management and budget control
  • Relevant qualification in Building Construction, Property Maintenance, or Managing Safety
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and building standards
