Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Security Systems Engineer to join our team in a full-time field-based capacity. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the maintenance, upgrades, and installation of security systems across diverse sectors.

Key Responsibilities

The Security Systems Engineer will be tasked with:

  • Servicing and upgrading existing security systems
  • Executing small-scale installations
  • Configuring and troubleshooting both hardware and software components
  • Ensuring compatibility with current systems
  • Providing customer support and guidance on new systems

As part of our commitment to customer service, the engineer will also participate in the standby call-out rota for emergency situations.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in the maintenance and servicing of security systems
  • Proficiency with CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm Systems, with additional knowledge of Fire Alarms being advantageous
  • An understanding of network security protocols and best practices
  • Familiarity with equipment from brands such as Scantronic, Texecom, Eaton, Honeywell, HiK Vision, Adpro, ACT, and Paxton
  • A strong grasp of project management and health & safety principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Employer references and DBS screening
  • A clean UK driving license

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from £28,000 to £35,000, complemented by standby increments, overtime, a company vehicle, and pension contributions. Starting salary will be commensurate with experience.
