About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our intellectual property rights administration and clearance efforts for Oxford Languages' licensing business. This role will be instrumental in delivering revenue and growth by managing rights, working with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors, and ensuring high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Intellectual Property Rights Management: Understand the principles of IP copyright management, including licensing and acquisition processes, and adapt quickly to new demands and their effects on copyright in a digital environment.
  • Managing Data with Internal Teams and 3rd Parties: Provide seamless clarity and support when requesting metadata, possess strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, and ensure a targeted approach to deliver success.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders, including product, legal, tech, and delivery teams, to meet specifications, present clear updates, and manage relationships effectively.
About You

We are looking for an individual with IP management experience, a strong understanding of publishers, and the ability to navigate the challenges of AI-driven advancements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and listening skills, be determined and resilient, and have a keen eye for opportunities and challenges.

Essential:

  • Experience in IP and copyrighted works
  • Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
  • Experience or knowledge of global publishing and working with content and data in languages other than English
  • Experience working in an international team and across various team functions
Desirable:
  • Proven experience as a sourcing leader
  • Experience working in language data and services
  • Awareness of and skills in data handling
