Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Educational Assistant to provide support to a Year 3 student with special educational needs. This role is primarily focused on morning sessions, aligning with the student's current reduced timetable, with the goal of transitioning to a full-time schedule in the future.


The successful applicant will be instrumental in fostering the academic and emotional growth of the student, offering personalized assistance to ensure a positive educational experience.


The ideal candidate will have a background in supporting children with special educational needs and exhibit a calm, patient, and nurturing approach.


Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering customized support to a Year 3 student with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to enhance their learning journey.
  • Collaborating closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement and modify educational strategies and interventions.
  • Creating a supportive and positive environment to encourage the child's emotional and social development.
  • Assisting the student in achieving their individual education plan (IEP) objectives.
  • Tracking and documenting the child's progress, providing updates to relevant staff and guardians.
  • Ensuring a safe and nurturing atmosphere for the child at all times.
