Refuge Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Refuge Support Worker - Children and Young People to join our team at Llamau Ltd.
Key Responsibilities- Build trusting relationships with children and parents accessing refuge, providing a safe and supportive environment.
- Work with children and parents to ensure support meets their needs, addressing the impact of abuse and promoting positive experiences.
- Develop and deliver age-appropriate activities, child house meetings, and group work to engage children and promote their well-being.
- Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the project, recording and reporting incidents in accordance with Llamau's procedures.
- Participate in the on-call rota, providing telephone and in-person support to colleagues, and taking initiative to resolve issues and emergencies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with children and families in a refuge or similar setting, with a focus on safety and well-being.
- Knowledge of child development and the impact of abuse on children, with a commitment to promoting positive experiences.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, and to participate in the on-call rota.
