About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Phoenix Learning and Care Group. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing 24-hour care and support to two young boys, Alex and Chris, who require a stable and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the children in their daily lives, including their physical, emotional, and educational needs.
- Develop and maintain a safe and healthy environment for the children, ensuring their well-being and happiness.
- Work collaboratively with the children's key workers and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective support plan.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in residential childcare.
Requirements:
- Patience, empathy, and understanding in working with children who have experienced trauma.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with the children, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- A driving license and willingness to drive the children to various activities and appointments.
- Flexibility and adaptability in working a varied shift pattern, including sleep-ins and weekends.
