About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at SLR. As a key member of our geoscience team, you will be responsible for site supervision of ground investigations and other fieldwork, scheduling and management of laboratory testing, installation of geotechnical instrumentation, and assisting with the planning and procurement of ground investigations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site supervision of ground investigations and other fieldwork
  • Scheduling and management of laboratory testing following ground investigation
  • Installation of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring of readings
  • Assisting with the planning and procurement of ground investigations
  • Geotechnical analysis including limit equilibrium analysis
  • Factual reporting
  • Health & Safety Risk Assessment and Planning
About You

We are looking for someone with experience in a similar role, who is keen to develop their career in an inclusive and developmentally-focussed organisation. You will have a good understanding of the principles of Geotechnical Engineering and current UK ground investigation techniques, specifications and standards (BS5930:2015 / Eurocode 7). Graduate level membership of a relevant professional body is also essential.
