Job Title: French speaking Geotechnical Engineer

Carrington West is seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing geotechnical structures, reviewing and checking schemes prepared by others, and carrying out inspections and surveys of geotechnical structures.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of the company. The ideal candidate will have a relevant Engineering degree, previous experience in Geotechnical Engineering, and a full UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design geotechnical structures in the temporary and permanent case
  • Review and checks of other schemes prepared by others
  • Carrying out inspections and surveys of geotechnical structures and preparing reports
  • Undertaking feasibility / option studies
  • Working with cognisance to project programmes
  • Providing guidance and training to more junior staff members where applicable
Requirements:
  • Relevant Engineering degree
  • Previous experience in Geotechnical Engineering
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport would be useful but not imperative
  • Eligible to live and work in the UK and high standard of written English
