Job Summary

As an Electrical Design Engineer - High Voltage Direct Current, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing HVDC systems that meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Development: Develop and implement HVDC system designs that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  2. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to peers and junior engineers on HVDC system design and development.
  3. Customer Engagement: Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs.
  4. Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HVDC system design and development.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Power Systems Engineering: Proven experience in power systems engineering, with a strong understanding of HVDC systems and their applications.
  2. Technical Expertise: Strong technical skills in areas such as circuit analysis, electromagnetic transient studies, and power system stability analysis.
  3. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
  4. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.

Education and Experience:

  1. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in power systems engineering, with a strong background in HVDC systems.

Required Tools and Software:

  1. PSSE: Proficiency in using PSSE for power system analysis and simulation.
  2. DIgSILENT Power Factory: Experience with DIgSILENT Power Factory for power system analysis and simulation.
  3. MATLAB: Strong programming skills in MATLAB for power system analysis and simulation.
  4. PSCAD: Experience with PSCAD for power system analysis and simulation.
  5. FORTRAN: Proficiency in using FORTRAN for power system analysis and simulation.
  6. PYTHON: Strong programming skills in PYTHON for power system analysis and simulation.
  7. EXCEL: Proficiency in using EXCEL for data analysis and reporting.
