Position Overview:

We are seeking a Lead Electrical Systems Engineer to join our esteemed team. This role is pivotal in producing high-quality, safe, and efficient designs for substation projects. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise to oversee consultants and foster internal design capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Technical Lead to engage with suppliers, ensuring cost-effective and compliant design solutions for high voltage (HV) systems.
  • Develop project-specific electrical designs for plant operations, adhering to generic drawings provided by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).
  • Create electrical interlocking diagrams in accordance with client specifications.
  • Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases, addressing site technical inquiries and preparing specifications for various plant equipment.
  • Work in tandem with other engineering disciplines to facilitate effective collaboration on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Supervise Engineers and CAD Technicians, whether in-house or subcontracted, to ensure the production of detailed designs.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys as necessary to support project requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in primary and HV plant design.
  • Familiarity with various HV plant configurations for Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) and Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substations.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics from different manufacturers.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D design work.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
