Senior Analyst (Specialised Commissioning Pharmacy)

Position Details:

  • Part-Time Commitment: This role is structured as part-time, with a standard workweek comprising 22.5 hours.
  • Fixed Term Engagement: Join our organisation on a fixed-term basis.
  • Flexible Work Arrangement: Benefit from a hybrid work model, with occasional in-person team meetings.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyse, and interpret intricate data from diverse sources to aid in strategic planning and operational decision-making.
  • Build effective working relationships with pharmacy BI leads across priority Trusts, proactively enhancing data submissions.
  • Facilitate regional and one-on-one support sessions with Trusts to improve data quality.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and presentations to convey findings to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear communication channels with all stakeholders, fostering an environment of transparency and efficient information exchange.
  • Articulate complex issues and data insights to a varied audience of internal and external stakeholders.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • A degree in analytics or a related field, or equivalent significant experience in fulfilling the outlined responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in analysing NHS information and data flows, particularly within pharmacy or specialised commissioning.
  • Proficient in BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI, with experience in SQL query development and data manipulation.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, particularly in healthcare contexts.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage tasks in fast-paced environments.
  • Capability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the health and social care landscape, including NHS policy and operational challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within the NHS or a comparable healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with NHS data standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of specialised pharmacy services.
