Job Title: Principal Fixed Fire Fighting Systems Engineer

AERIUS Marine UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Fixed Fire Fighting Systems Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of new Fixed Fire Fighting systems, production of design documentation, and technical support to commissioning teams and through life design change and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop client requirements into viable system designs
  • Complete design calculations including pressure loss, pipe velocity, sprinkler coverage, and pump sizing
  • Develop and manage control philosophies for Fixed Fire Fighting systems
  • Specify and select equipment
  • Manage Fixed Fire Fighting systems interface with other ship systems
  • Liaise with project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintain design intent throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards
  • Proven design experience with Marine Fixed Fire Fighting Systems
  • Experience with Defence Standards and Classification Societies rules
  • Proven client interface capability
  • Proven supplier management capability
  • Ability to lead engineering teams
