Job Title: Principal Fixed Fire Fighting Systems Engineer

AERIUS Marine UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Fixed Fire Fighting Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of fixed fire fighting systems for our marine clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement fixed fire fighting systems designs that meet or exceed client requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of fire fighting systems with other ship systems.
  • Conduct design calculations, including pressure loss, pipe velocity, sprinkler coverage, and pump sizing.
  • Develop and manage control philosophies for fixed fire fighting systems.
  • Specify and select equipment for fixed fire fighting systems.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture (HNC plus vocational experience will be considered).
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards.
  • Proven design experience with marine fixed fire fighting systems, including foam, water spray, and local application.
  • Experience with Defence Standards and Classification Societies rules.
  • Proven client interface capability.
  • Proven supplier management capability.
  • Ability to lead engineering teams.
