Job Title: Pharmacy Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Advisor to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work alongside pharmacists and technical staff in the pharmacy section 10 production unit at the Denmark Hill site. Key responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation and dispensing of aseptically produced products in isolators, monitoring and cleaning of isolators, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of aseptically produced products in isolators.
  • Monitor and clean isolators, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Participate in the monitoring and cleaning rota of the isolators, following standard operating procedures.
  • Comply with departmental Good Manufacturing Practice requirements, including dress and hygiene standards.
  • Prepare documentation and labels using the pharmacy computer system.
  • Undertake transfer disinfection into the aseptic unit and isolators, following procedures.
  • Check volumes of other staff in the aseptic unit, after an appropriate period of training and competence assessment.
Requirements
  • GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent.
  • NVQ Pharmacy Level 2, plus accredited underpinning knowledge or equivalent.
  • Experience of dispensing medication.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice.
  • Knowledge of procedures for pharmacy services.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy computer systems.
