About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Policy Advisor to join our International Central Government Team at AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch). As a Senior Policy Advisor, you will play a key role in leading our engagements with senior public sector customers, driving government modernization and transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Government Modernization Programs: Work with our customers to help them accelerate their modernization and reform programs, evangelizing successful approaches to transformation and becoming a leading authority in public service reform.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Build strong, long-term relationships across public sector organizations, becoming the trusted adviser to our C-Level customers in multiple countries.
  • Develop and Deploy Solutions: Use analysis across our customer engagements to identify common government-specific solutions that will accelerate transformation and initiate their development and deployment.
  • Travel and Collaboration: Travel required in this role is 30-40%, collaborating with our customers and teams to drive business growth and success.
About the Team

The International Central Government Team is a small worldwide practice that helps our customers accelerate their reform and modernization programs. We work with executive and operational leaders in public service, and at the core of the team are former public service executives who have led nation-scale digital transformations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree is required for this role.
  • Senior Government Experience: Experience in a senior government decision-making role, or in a nation-scale regulated industry (banking, utilities) is essential.
  • Transformation Experience: 8+ years of experience in leading government transformation programs, with a track record of building rapport with senior customer executives.
  • Financial Modeling and Business Case Development: 8+ years of experience in financial modeling, business case development, and treasury policy.
  • MBA or Comparable Education: An MBA or comparable education is preferred.
