Mechanical Fitter Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter Engineer to join our team at the Non-Ferro Recovery Company (NRC). As a Mechanical Fitter Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical status, maintenance, and repair of UK site installation equipment, machinery, and mechanical components to ensure optimum output.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and repair UK site installation equipment, machinery, and mechanical components to ensure optimum output.
  2. Collaborate with HQ Workshops, UK Project Managers, and Installation Team Leaders to ensure smooth installation processes.
  3. Regularly inspect installation machines and equipment to identify and repair faulty components.
  4. Responsible for the set-up, implementation, control, and monitoring of daily, weekly, and monthly procedural installation status checklist.
  5. Communicate effectively with NRC Senior Management at Head Office to ensure seamless operations.
  6. Ensure good team spirit and motivation, and set clear maintenance goals for our UK Site Installation team.
  7. Ensure UK compliance with daily/weekly/preventative maintenance requirements, thus maintaining the mechanical systems, repairing, and maintaining their operating machinery to enhance longevity and prevent accidents.
  8. Organise transportation and logistics of Parts from Head Office Netherlands.
  9. Supply cover for Installation Site Managers as required.
  10. Ensure strict implementation and compliance with all EU/UK Health & Safety and Environmental requirements.
