About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter Engineer to join our team at The Smartlist. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on our equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Technical Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of the technical workings of our equipment and machinery to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaboration and Training: Work closely with our installation team and provide training and support to ensure they have the necessary skills to improve installation output.
  • Inspections and Quality Control: Regularly inspect equipment and machinery to identify and repair faulty components, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Procedural Implementation: Set up, implement, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly procedural installation status checklists to ensure efficient operations.
  • Communication and Leadership: Communicate effectively with senior management and team members, providing leadership and guidance to ensure good team spirit and motivation.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure strict implementation and compliance with all EU/UK Health & Safety and Environmental requirements.
  • Logistics and Administration: Organize transportation and logistics of parts from our headquarters, and perform administrative duties as required.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge and skills in mechanical engineering and equipment maintenance.
  • Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams and stakeholders.
  • Health and Safety: UK accredited Health and Safety Qualification (CITB) or equivalent.
  • IT and Computer Literacy: Strong IT and computer literacy skills, with the ability to use software applications and systems.
