Position Overview

The Projects Engineer role is a pivotal position within our organization, located at our Sheffield facility. This position is ideal for individuals with a solid background in engineering and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take the lead in managing assigned CAPITAL projects on-site.
  • Oversee and contribute to the Management of Change and Commissioning processes, ensuring that equipment is safely and appropriately handed over to the relevant teams.
  • Drive Engineering Continuous Improvements to boost production efficiency and enhance safety standards, in alignment with SEVESO/COMAH regulations.
  • Support the site in addressing SEVESO/COMAH engineering-related actions.
  • Coordinate CAPITAL project contractor activities with stakeholders, ensuring equipment availability aligns with production and planning needs.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Supervisor and Process Safety teams to maintain proactive management of the CMMS.
  • Assist the Engineering department in the development of internal RAMS.
Qualifications
  • Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship (level 5 or higher) or possession of an Engineering degree with relevant graduate training.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly in automation and control.
  • Familiarity with the Health and Safety legislation applicable in the relevant country.
  • Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems is essential.
  • At least 2 years of experience in RAMS and issuing/approving PTW.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH certifications are advantageous.
  • Project Management qualifications such as Prince2, IPM, or PMI are preferred.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks including PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, HASAW 1974, and SEVESO/COMAH.
  • Knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR standards is beneficial.
