Role Overview

The Projects Engineer position is a pivotal role within our organization, offering an exciting opportunity for individuals with a solid background in engineering and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take a leading role in the management of assigned CAPITAL projects.
  • Oversee and contribute to the Management of Change and Commissioning processes, ensuring safe and effective handover of equipment.
  • Drive Engineering Continuous Improvements to boost production efficiency and enhance safety standards.
  • Support site compliance with SEVESO/COMAH regulations related to engineering activities.
  • Coordinate CAPITAL project contractor tasks with stakeholders, ensuring resource availability.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Supervisor and Process Safety teams to maintain proactive management of the CMMS.
  • Assist the Engineering department in developing internal Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship (level 5 or higher) or possession of an Engineering degree with relevant training.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly in automation and control.
  • Familiarity with Health and Safety legislation applicable to the industry.
  • Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems is essential.
  • At least 2 years of experience in issuing and approving RAMS and Permit to Work (PTW) documentation.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certifications are preferred.
  • Project Management qualifications such as Prince2, IPM, or PMI are advantageous.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks including PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, and HASAW 1974, as well as SEVESO/COMAH guidelines.
  • Knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR regulations is beneficial.
