The Projects Engineer position is a pivotal role within our organization, offering an exciting opportunity for individuals with a solid background in engineering and project management.
Key Responsibilities- Take a leading role in the management of assigned CAPITAL projects.
- Oversee and contribute to the Management of Change and Commissioning processes, ensuring safe and effective handover of equipment.
- Drive Engineering Continuous Improvements to boost production efficiency and enhance safety standards.
- Support site compliance with SEVESO/COMAH regulations related to engineering activities.
- Coordinate CAPITAL project contractor tasks with stakeholders, ensuring resource availability.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Supervisor and Process Safety teams to maintain proactive management of the CMMS.
- Assist the Engineering department in developing internal Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship (level 5 or higher) or possession of an Engineering degree with relevant training.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly in automation and control.
- Familiarity with Health and Safety legislation applicable to the industry.
- Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems is essential.
- At least 2 years of experience in issuing and approving RAMS and Permit to Work (PTW) documentation.
- IOSH or NEBOSH certifications are preferred.
- Project Management qualifications such as Prince2, IPM, or PMI are advantageous.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks including PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, and HASAW 1974, as well as SEVESO/COMAH guidelines.
- Knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR regulations is beneficial.
