Position Overview
The Projects Engineer role is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a solid background in engineering and project management. This position plays a crucial part in our operations, ensuring that all engineering projects are executed efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take a leading role in managing assigned CAPITAL projects on-site.
- Oversee and contribute to the Management of Change and Commissioning processes, ensuring that all equipment is safely handed over to the appropriate teams.
- Drive continuous engineering improvements to boost production efficiency and enhance safety standards, aligning with SEVESO/COMAH regulations.
- Assist the site in addressing SEVESO/COMAH compliance matters related to engineering.
- Coordinate CAPITAL project contractor activities in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, ensuring equipment availability aligns with production schedules.
- Work closely with the Engineering Supervisor and Process Safety teams to maintain effective management of the CMMS.
- Support the Engineering department in developing internal Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship (level 5 or higher) or possession of an Engineering degree with a graduate training program.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly in automation and control.
- Familiarity with relevant health and safety legislation.
- Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems is essential.
- At least 2 years of experience in issuing and approving RAMS and Permit to Work (PTW) documents.
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications are preferred.
- Project Management qualifications such as Prince2, IPM, or PMI are advantageous.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, HASAW 1974, and SEVESO/COMAH.
- Knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR regulations is beneficial.
