Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and develop the Purchasing & Logistics team to ensure efficient stock holding and procurement processes.
  • Build and execute the buying strategy across all product categories, aligning with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to negotiate favourable terms and maximise margins.
  • Produce regular reports on departmental efficiency, including lead times, stock aging, and stock transfer suggestions.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date data on items on the system to facilitate efficient purchasing administrative tasks.
  • Review and monitor supplier service and maintain a supplier performance log.
  • Liaise with Sales teams and vendors to offer attractive project prices to customers.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to anticipate future stock requirements and ensure timely acquisition of product portfolio.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges related to stock procurement and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
  • Purchasing or supply chain procurement qualification essential.
  • Solid experience in key Buyer role/Purchasing management role essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and stock planning system desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritising skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with different teams and use own initiative.
  • Positive, can-do attitude, with drive to be successful.
