Production Manager

About the Role
The Production Scheduler role is crucial in ensuring that manufacturing production is programmed correctly, from a specification and timing point of view, that supply and production factors are accounted for and managed, and that excellent relationships are built and maintained across colleague and client teams.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with multiple departments to achieve seamless planning coordination and timely shipping targets.
- Effectively process and manage client information, incorporating it into programming activities.
- Regularly update production schedules for all projects.
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of requested supplies by managing and coordinating purchase orders.
- Manage service spares and damage replacements.
- Conduct weekly meetings with department supervisors to review progress, document issues, and assess stock levels.
- Conduct weekly meetings across teams to gather status information, collate data, and provide management with status updates.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, coordinating with assembly and production departments.
- Compile and record necessary data for Key Performance Indicator reporting.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients, both face-to-face and via video conferencing platforms.
Required Skills and Experience
- Scheduling experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Experience in production planning: 1 year (required)
- Possess strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiating skills.
- Ability to develop and nurture key customer and workforce relationships.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly in using Excel to an advanced level.
- Proactive and reactive approach to the role to ensure planning, scheduling, and issue management.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Flexible approach and ability to adapt to changing requirements at short notice.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, ensuring clear and concise communications with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Positive and proactive attitude, demonstrating a willingness to take on challenges, find solutions, and cooperate with others.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Maintain a professional, accountable, proactive, and helpful attitude at all times.
- Ability to give and receive feedback constructively and negotiate with colleagues harmoniously.
Compensation
