About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Biogen (UK) Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our anaerobic digestion (AD) plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the General Manager in maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address maintenance needs, and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, and contribute to the development of maintenance procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance activities, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
  • Qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering, with a strong understanding of process industry principles and practices.
  • Experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) management, with a focus on cost control and budget management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts, and to travel to various sites as required.
