About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Support Worker to join our team at St Mungo's. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support to vulnerable adults, helping them to rebuild their lives and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic support and advice to clients, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected.
  • Jointly manage the safe day-to-day running of the project with other team members, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for clients and visitors.
  • Coordinate Health and Safety checks and administrative duties, working closely with the team to provide person-centered support to residents and clients.
Requirements
  • Some experience of dealing directly with the public and/or clients or customers in a busy service environment and good communication skills.
  • Personal experience of homelessness and/or an understanding of and empathy with the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people.
  • A genuine interest in helping vulnerable people to make positive changes in their life, and the willingness to develop these valuable skills.
