About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Social Worker/DP Lead to join our team at Shared Services Partnership. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the Council's vision for independent living and to contribute to the development of Direct Payments as a key facilitator for residents.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) and Knowledge and Skills Statement (KSS Adults) applicable to the role of an Advanced Social Worker. They will be committed to working collaboratively with residents, colleagues, and partner agencies to deliver services that are co-produced and inclusive.

The role holder will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Direct Payments, working closely with the Direct Payments Steering Group and Direct Payments Support Service. They will also be responsible for building capacity and confidence among colleagues across social care to increase the uptake of Direct Payments and improve outcomes for residents.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, with experience in Direct Payments and a commitment to co-production and inclusive practice. They will be able to demonstrate confident and effective judgement about risk and accountability in decision-making, and will be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
