Financial Crime Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Crime Assurance Manager to join our team at Barclays. As a key member of our Risk Function, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the bank's financial and operational stability by proactively identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across various business units and activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategic direction for risk, including the implementation of up-to-date methodologies and processes.
  • Manage the risk department, including oversight of risk colleagues and their performance, implementation of risk priorities and objectives, oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Relationship management of risk stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders, and maintenance of the quality of external third-party services.
  • Adhere to the Risk policy, standards and frameworks, and maintaining a robust control environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in Assurance roles, designing models and execution.
  • Ability to provide thought leadership - strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data, MI and business challenges and make recommendations and decisions.
  • Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal and problem-solving skills including experience in producing and reviewing papers / MI; and presentations for senior audiences.
