Job Title: Mathematics Faculty at Commonwealth of Virginia

The College of Science, Engineering, and Technology is seeking to appoint two (2) nine-month tenure-track faculty members in Mathematics at Commonwealth of Virginia. As a Mathematics Faculty member, you will engage in teaching mathematics courses, mentoring students, collaborating with industry, and participating in research initiatives.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Deliver mathematics instruction across various levels with an emphasis on academic rigor
    • Guide students and assist in the development of academic programs
    • Build and sustain partnerships with industry stakeholders
    • Contribute to departmental, school, and university committees
    • Engage in research activities and disseminate findings through publications

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Ph.D. in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics
  2. Demonstrated experience in teaching and research

Additional Considerations:

Expertise in computational methods and a solid grasp of contemporary trends in Data Science & Analytics are preferred.
