About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Investment Associate to join our Private Markets team at Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS).

This is an exciting opportunity to participate in all aspects of the investment process, including origination, due diligence, and deal execution, across a mix of direct investment, co-investment, and fund investments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the origination process by conducting targeted research and analysis across various themes and sectors.
  • Liaise with potential targets and monitor existing investee companies and investment managers to identify potential investment opportunities.
  • Support the preparation of materials for meetings with management teams and key stakeholders, including investment committees.
  • Conduct investment due diligence, including quantitative modeling and qualitative analysis of investment and divestment opportunities.
  • Support the legal workstreams, including transaction documentation, and coordinate with external advisors, such as investment banks and General Partners.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including responsible investment, tax, investment legal, operational due diligence, risk, and compliance teams.
About You

We are looking for a talented individual with a background in financial services, ideally in an investment or advisory context. You will have prior exposure to infrastructure and/or private equity, strong analytical and numerical skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Post-graduation experience in financial services, ideally in an investment or advisory context.
