Job Title: Sales Engineer - Fire Detection

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Engineer to join our team at Protec Fire Detection PLC. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our fire detection solutions to clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, M&E consultants, and electrical contractors to identify sales opportunities and promote our fire detection solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, demonstrations, and quotations to clients, highlighting the benefits and features of our fire detection systems.
  • Work closely with the regional sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, and to develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients, including site surveys, condition reports, and system design.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, including British Standards and regulatory requirements, to ensure that our sales solutions are compliant and effective.
Requirements:
  • Essential qualifications: Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering, or a suitable academic qualification.
  • Desirable qualifications: Experience within the fire, life safety, and security sector, construction industry experience, knowledge of fire alarm, life safety, and security systems, and specific knowledge of industry-appropriate British Standards.
  • Essential skills: Good personal time management, conscientious with an attention to detail, good ability to communicate, strong interpersonal skills, self-motivating and goal-setting, and computer and software usage.
