Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Design Engineer to join our team at Protec Fire Detection PLC. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing fire alarm systems that meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop fire alarm systems that meet customer requirements and comply with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Manage the post-order design process from sales handover to completion, ensuring all documentation and drawings are produced and recorded in line with company standards.
  • Implement company design procedures and ensure full understanding of scope documents and system design.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports, and communicate effectively with staff at varying levels throughout the company.
Requirements
  • Essential qualifications include FIA Design certification and technical/engineering qualification.
  • Desirable qualifications include Revit and AutoCAD certification.
  • Essential experience includes major project design experience, multi-discipline design experience, and experience working within a building services environment.
  • Desirable experience includes experience of working with CDE's and experience of working with Revit.
  • Essential skills include excellent eye for detail, self-motivated with an organised approach to managing workload, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Desirable skills include ability to confidently deal with difficult and stressful situations, ability to maintain accurate records, and ability to communicate effectively with staff at varying levels throughout the company.
